History & Achievements


  • TAG JV businesses HAG and LAG win LNG three-year production phase contracts with ExxonMobil to provide catering, housekeeping and camp maintenance services.
  • New joint venture arrangement formed between HAG and the Western Province Landowners SYWE Investment Company LTD to form a new company called Western Alliance Group (WAG).  The new JV will take advantage of opportunities arising from Horizon Oil LTD’s forthcoming work in the Stanley Gas Fields.


  • Parent company NCS celebrates its 20th birthday
  • One million hours LTI free at CJJV


  • World Bank describes NCS Group as a “prime example of a successful landowner company”
  • NCS purchases the remaining shareholding of TAG
  • TAG feeds up to 10,000 camp residents plus 2,500 day workers at EPC3 PNG LNG plant
  • TAG employs in excess of 1,500 people at the peak of the PNG LNG  construction phase


  • TAG awarded some of the most significant catering and camp management contracts on the PNG LNG Project, working closely with Esso Highlands Limited, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Corp, and contractors including CJJV, CCJV and SCN. Combined, TAG and NCS feed some of the world’s biggest mining and gas developments.
  • TAG successfully operating over 11 camp sites. Most employees are PNG nationals from local impact areas. Training and employment opportunities are provided for everyday people, many of whom are learning skills and earning a living for the first time.
  • TAG continues to mobilise throughout the Southern Highlands
  • JV HAG operates with about 93 percent local hire 


  • TAG awarded EPC 3 contract – largest hospitality contract in PNG history
  • Well Pad A – Hides area project begins in July 
  • TAG formalise joint venture arrangements with Hides Gas Development Company (HGDC). The new company is known as the Hides Alliance Group (HAG) and is in a position to tender directly for all LNG contracts for camp management and catering services in the Hides, Komo and Juha areas.
  • TAG formalise joint venture arrangements with Laba Holdings Ltd.  The new company is known as the Laba Alliance Group (LAG) and it secures camp services contracts at the LNG Plant Site outside of Port Moresby.


  • Launch of The Alliance Group (TAG) to service the LNG project – a joint venture with GCC Services. TAG unveiled its new logo and identity at the Petroleum and Mining Conference in Port Moresby
