Working with Landowner Groups

We have a demonstrated track record of successful commercial partnerships with landowners.

We recognise the importance of working with the local landowners and gaining their trust, participation and equity in your project development.

The Alliance Group has proven success with business partnerships with numerous landowner groups throughout PNG. Business models are structured to build sustainability and stability in business operations and has a commitment to:

  • Maintaining Safety standards and Quality Assured Systems and employee welfare
  • Operational excellence / Quality management
  • Development of integrated commercial activities

Our focus is on managing the relationships between developers, businesses and suppliers

  • Financial stability
  • Structured management and vocational training
  • Local employment, education and training

Our fundamental approach is centred around maximising local content at every stage of development and operations possible, whilst ensuring we maintain our established standards of excellence in Quality assurance and OH&S.

The key component of the successful implementation of the localisation program is the full engagement of local landowners in the business.

The Alliance Group engages the recognised local landowners in an operating entity with ownership ultimately passing to the landowners. In addition to direct involvement with the camp operations and catering, the operating entity engages local business in a number of key initiatives including:

  • Agriculture – Formation of co-operatives to grow, harvest and supply fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Aquaculture – investigating the potential for introduction of fish farming
  • Direct Employment – through the engagement of a maximum number of local people
  • Long Term sustainability – the operating entity will undertake training skills and business development

Ensuring that the local people receive the training and skill development, creating a greater level of quality and commitment in the workforce including business opportunities and creating sustainability for the local communities is a priority for The Alliance Group.
